The White Howlers are an old and now extinct Garou tribe whose origin lies in Scotland. In medieval times, this tribe were the Picts which painted their bodies in blue woads and played the bagpipe and drum before going to battle. They appearantly found an entrance to the lair of the Wyrm itself and went in to attack their greatest enemy directly. But instead of being victorious, they came out as the Black Spiral Dancers, corrupted and now acting as agents for the Wyrm instead of fighting against it. Amonsgt the Black Spiral Dancers there are some who still claim direct descendance from the White Howlers. These individuals are often beautiful and gracious unlike most Black Spiral Dancers.
