York was an Elder Get of Fenris, Theurge. He came back to the sept he was raised as a cub many many years ago to undergo the [[Rite of the Winterwolf]]. He didn't perform it exactly the way it normally goes, proud get that he was. Instead of using the silver knife and take his own life with it, he stabbed the knife in a tree and started ritually summoning Ice Wyrm until he defeated his sixth and died of his wounds.
