Ivan became the first alpha of the Sept by buying the votes of the Bonegnawers in the alpha election. Despite his Silver Fang blood, he was an ineffectual leader. His most memorable words were along the line of "You keep fighting the wyrm, I have to return [to the sept] to protect my position as alpha." However, he died a hero's death when the reformed Bluepelt sept retook the Cearn.
