Den Father and Den Mother are essentially the same role, one fulfilled by a man, the other by a woman. Either one is responsible for the well-being of the cubs, those garou that are still learning their way around our canine society. The Den Father and Mother are also held accountable for most actions of their pupils. Although the cubs are expected to obey, there is often something of a tension as the newly arrived try to cope with their place in the world.
