This artifact is said be be able to hold rage for the pack that controls it. As if a battery, this rage could be drawn again when needed. It belonged to an old Fianna warrior, who gave it to the Bluepelt sept to fight for (see Hammer for details). He went through the Rite of the Winterwolf after.
However, it has not been used very often in battle. Currently, Jack Shit holds it... and puts it to good use too!
Jack Shit has died fighting the Abomination, he has taken Magwodan with him to wherever he has gone.
