A roar sounded through Delft. A roar like no other. It was a roar that made the Wyrm cover in their cold caves; a roar that made the Spirits shiver. It was roar that called out all of the Garu of the Bluepelt Sept. It was the great howl of ‘Shields the Stones’, elder Galliard of his Sept.

In the greatness of the pack of our Alpha, he held the rank of Omega. And everyone in that pack, everyone besides the Alpha of course, feared that this Son of Fenrir would punch him or her down to that place. I’ve never asked him, but I think he liked the claim of Omega. This wolf took pride in telling the tales of Glory from his fellow pack members. And of course, no spot in the pack of the Alpha can be disrespected.

He was with his pack when he died. He stood there and fought, in complete obedience. We should all take his example during the coming battle in our ongoing war. Will you stand your ground when you know you can take no more? Will you obey your leaders and suffer any and all consequences? Will you die, so your kin can live on? Honour ‘Shields the Stones, not only in memory, but also by living and dying by his example!

A howl sounded through Delft. Not nearly as loud as the roar ‘Shields the Stones ‘could utter. Yet the sadness of it shook up the spirits even more. And soon, soon we will roar as one, as one Sept. Not only let the Wyrm cower, but to let them know we will destroy them all!

Now, in this tale, it should be told that ‘Een Oog‘ claims responsibility for his death. Are these the sad words of a mourning Pack mate, or is she truly guilty of a hideous crime? She refuses to tell what has happened and I have not consulted the Spirits. It is for the Philodoxes to take responsibility in this matter and find out what has happened. Heed my words! If they do not get to the bottom of this matter, it will darken the death of ‘Shield’ and they’ll bring shame to themselves, the Bluepelt Sept and it’s Alpha.
